40th Anniversary of Apollo 11 Mission - Google Moon posted on July 22, 2009 - 12:40pm

Its been all over the media, that its 40 years since the Apollo 11 landed on the moon, Neil Armstrong walking out, followed by Buzz (the second man to walk on the moon). Already a lot is being done to commemorate this historic event e.g.
BBC Entertainment is showing a movie called Moonlight, which is shows the events that led to the Apollo 11 (from the personal lives of the crew before and after the flight, the wrangles between them, mission challenges like the breaking of a lever before take off from the moon and how they used a pen to solve the problem etc)
CNN, Discovery, History all have documentaries about this event.
Google on the other hand, after making Google earth, Google sky, now has Google Moon, a 3D tour of the moon and all the Apollo sites. Its a good experience (better xperi

Michael Jackson Ghost @ Larry King’s Neverland Tour posted on July 13, 2009 - 11:54am

I don’t know if y’all have seen this…  (happened sometime back while Larry King was doin a Live tour of Neverland Post MJ’s Death)

Guess who is back.. Yo boy, D Wizzack.. Its been a long time since i blogged (was doin rehab).. Guess its clear now that i succumbed to it again!
Quick shout out to the Nuggets… D.nuggets all day, e’rry day… Congs on game 4 win.. (2-2) ain’t so bad.
Without further ado, here are a few pic from the Movie Avatar; The Last Airbender coming out in 2010. Clearly its adapted from the Nickelodeon Series.

As you can see.. they tried to use actors with similar characteristics to the Animated series.. like the big eyes and… that’s about it..
But seriously, Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire) for Zuko?????? Clearly the characters are Asian, fine but look at Aang (so American)..
I have a lot of respect for M’night Shyamalan (Signs, Sixth sense, Happening) but i hope he is able to pull this one off.. (it’ll be hard)

Why Prison Break had to end.. posted on January 22, 2009 - 2:47pm

By now most of you have heard about this (i am not sure anymore if i should term it ‘terrible’) piece of news. Its true, this is Prison Break’s last season. Wenty, Linc, Sarah, Sucre & Maria Cruze, and The sexy-mean-Hot Gretchen (who in my opinion should have ended up with Wenty) are going away soon.
BUT WHY?
For a show that was originally intended to be a mini-series, that ended up stretching its stint to a full 22 episode season, then to three more seasons, it was bound to reach an end soon enough. Folks who’d been following it lately saw this coming..
According to TVGuide.com, Fox president Kevin Reilly explained, “[Prison Break] got to a point where a lot of the stories had been told,” which is a kind way to say the show was running on fumes creatively.

Ass-tounding Movie Sequel News posted on January 14, 2009 - 4:43pm

I’d mentioned some of these movie sequels before.. But I was totally blown away by the new movie sequels i discovered.. I just had to post it here.. You will probably ask yourself where are they’ll get the plot from this time. Well trust scripts n screen plays n twists n plot exhaustion.. and box office flops.. Astounding.
By the time a movie sequel has been listed here, it means the actor/s already signed contracts to do them.. So its not Kiwani..
And without further ado..
1. Pirates of the Caribbean 4 - 2012
Yep, Depp’s signed on already on this one.

2. Ghostbusters 3 - [unkown year]
Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson to possibly star.

Top 10 Movies to look forward to in 2009.. posted on January 13, 2009 - 12:04pm

Did the same thing last year and most of my picks were actual box office smash hits. The likes of Iron Man, Twilight, Quantum of Solace.. and as for these others like The Spirit, Mirrors, The day the earth stood still.. weren’t bad.. Cineplex brought most of them, so many people saw them on big screen..
Here is a list of Movies to look forward to in 2009. In no specific order..

TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN;
Still Shia Lebeouf | Megan Fox | Tyrese Gibson | Josh Duhamel
This sequel promises more in the epic battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons. Shia LaBeouf’s character Sam Witwicky is rumored to be a college student this time around.

X-MEN ORIGINS - WOLVERINE
X-Men Origins: Wolverine” tells the story of Wolverine’s epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program.

24 Redemption! Pros and Cons posted on December 1, 2008 - 3:57pm

For those who don’t know what i am talking about.. and Solomon, i’ll give a brief synopsis and background to this title.
While 24 hasn’t been on tv for almost a year and season 7 is slated for next year, “They” decided to give us a movie (made for TV).. 24 Redemption, originally 24: Exile (for more look in my archive). This movie is supposed to usher season 7..
About the Movie!
Length: It takes place between 3pm and 5pm.. real time (inclusive of tv ads for Fox TV)
Plot: While we were left off staring at the troubled Jack in Season 6 Finale, Redemption sort of tells us what he’s been up to.. and where he ended up.. (in no particular order) and well.. how trouble always finds him..
even in Africa!
No CTU..
and there’s a presidential transition in US..
Good thing is they don’t make Jack untouchable..

Is sex in movies real or simulated? posted on November 20, 2008 - 7:34pm

I was in a mini-debate with a work colleague over this subject a little under a week ago. She.. he was of the view that in most of these movies, the love scenes are actually real, the sex is real and i was of the view that its simulated.
I’d however seen a French movie (with subtitles) on M-net a while ago where certain actions seemed real and again seen Movies on M-net (Saturday night’s R rated movies) in which the sex didn’t seem real.. and this prompted me to spare a few minutes off work to do a little research.. (hmmm.. a formal description for surfing porn? No?)
Here is what i discovered..
Oh and umm.. Viewers Discretion Is Advised.. Just kiddin!

For starters and mimi, simulated sex is not real sex while unsimulated sex is real (there is actual coitus or other sexual activity)
While unsimulated sex mainstream movies are quite common in European countries it hasn’t quite spread over to US mainstream cinema despite their weakening rules as regards that..

Re: Quantum of Solace (Review - No spoilers) posted on November 13, 2008 - 9:49am

Having been among the first people to see QOS before our brethren in the US (who are often the usual lucky B@st@rds), i was.. well.. with the that enormous ‘lucky-blessed’ feeling in addition to being anxious to see Daniel Craig again! (I am also among the few people who really like him as Bond).
I meant to see the movie last Saturday only to reach the box office to find signs saying (7:00pm and 9:30 shows sold out). ‘Crap’, i said! And i bought tickets for sunday very early that same day, lest i meet the same signs.
The Cinema was full.. i ended up sitting on the first row. May be that was the cause because here’s my review:
Overall
QOS.. is not all that! Casino Royale was far better than this one..
Tech:
There is new tech here too, duh! Its James Bond. There ’s this particular touch screen computer (i certainly wont say more)
Action:
Being in the first row sucks.. I’m not in good position to comment on this (Because i’ll certainly see the movie again)
Sex:
Er..
