I'm a Muganda and really couldnt care ... posted on May 26, 2010 - 5:23am
.... less about kingdoms. That may rub a few or maybe alot of Baganda the wrong way, but maybe the country as a whole would have been better off without the restoration of kingdoms. Maybe Ugandans would have more nationalistic thought-processing and much less monarchist interests for that percentage of the Ugandan population that have a kingdom in place. This whole bickering thats been going on between the Buganda government and the Uganda government may not have been an issue at all. Certainly, there does not seem to be conflict between regions that dont have kingdoms and the government, apart from conflict that should really be of concern to us as Ugandans as a whole. For instance, the plight of Ugandans in the north that has been affected by civil war for decades is of concern to all Ugandans. On the other hand, the interests of Buganda as a kingdom doesnt really concern Ugandans in the north or east, but only really Baganda.
The Punk State House of Uganda posted on May 7, 2010 - 9:12am
Let me vent my spleen for a moment if I may. What is it with this punk presidency in Uganda. I open up the online version of the day’s papers and I’m reading about the damn greed that defines the state house and probably with it, the presidency. How is it that the state house budget alone is more than double that of all referral hospitals in the country. Did I read right or am I comprehending this all wrong? What the fuck. What the fuck does this presidency think it is anyway? The report says the extra spending is to cater for amongst others, medical and funeral expenses. Well, what did you expect you punk motherfuckers. If there’s no money to spend on equipping referral hospitals with the bear basics, then Africans is going to keep dying of basic shit that we shouldnt be dying of in such huge numbers. We dropping off like mosquitoes caught up in a puff of Doom smoke. In this day and age?
Illegal Immigration In America posted on May 7, 2010 - 9:10am
11 million illegal immigrants are estimated to be living in America. That number continues to swell despite border fences being erected and tightening of visa applications. Nobody really cares about the bigger picture of life in America as an illegal immigrant, just as long as you are in. Screw it, being on this side of the fence IS the big picture. The rest is smaller in comparison to the opportunity to try and make it in America, legal or not. I totally understand why they would want to live in America. Damn it, I came to America for pretty much the same reasons that they did amongst other reasons. The major difference is, I came here legally and I reside here legally.
