.... less about kingdoms. That may rub a few or maybe alot of Baganda the wrong way, but maybe the country as a whole would have been better off without the restoration of kingdoms. Maybe Ugandans would have more nationalistic thought-processing and much less monarchist interests for that percentage of the Ugandan population that have a kingdom in place.
This whole bickering thats been going on between the Buganda government and the Uganda government may not have been an issue at all. Certainly, there does not seem to be conflict between regions that dont have kingdoms and the government, apart from conflict that should really be of concern to us as Ugandans as a whole. For instance, the plight of Ugandans in the north that has been affected by civil war for decades is of concern to all Ugandans. On the other hand, the interests of Buganda as a kingdom doesnt really concern Ugandans in the north or east, but only really Baganda.
